Health Connect South is a platform that facilitates collaboration between the top health innovators, decision makers, and students. They engage the southeastern health community year round by means of HCS radio and “the connector:” a database and discussion board and their flagship annual conference is held, bringing the brightest minds in healthcare under one roof.
We are especially excited to attend #HCS2016 this year. Here’s why.
Stories that stand out
We are positive that this year will once again prove that the HCS team always curates a powerful keynote lineup. We are anticipating thoughtful accounts from Dan Cerutti (VP of Population Health and Cognitive Decision Support for IBM Watson Healthcare), and Dr. Maurie Markman (President of medicine and science for Cancer Treatment Centers of America). They provide unique perspectives on health technology and innovative research in combatting the top ten chronic disease states.
Our experience attending past conferences leaves us confident that there will be narratives exemplifying great healthcare PR storytelling. Last year at the conference, attendees watched, completely consumed, as Dr. Ian Crozier gave a lunch keynote address. Dr. Crozier joined the fight against Ebola on the frontlines in Kenema, Sierra Leone, where he contracted the virus himself. The story he told at HCS2015 chronicled his journey from physician, Ebola “Patient #3,” to survivor.
Introducing medtech innovators to leading clinicians in the field
Health Connect South provides the perfect platform for innovators to meet with specialists in the field. And you never know when a conversation will lead to collaboration. For example, UCB joined forces with Georgia Tech’s Interoperability & Integration Innovation Lab (I3L) in an event that brought HCS to life. You can read more about how their partnership here.
We often forget that Atlanta is rich with healthcare assets. Health Connect South is more than just a conference, it is a tool that evolves. Every addition to the network is a step towards a more thorough understanding of possible solutions for problems facing healthcare, like people being more aware of their health and taking more healthy choices like the exercise, or supplements, if you’re one of these people you can get Kratom capsules here.
Which makes us excited for…
