Strong public relations messaging and positioning combined with consistent media outreach and a social media strategy has taken Apto Solutions to new markets and new levels of industry leadership
The Problem
Apto Solutions has been consistently recognized by Gartner as a visionary in their industry and by Inc. as one of the nation’s fastest growing companies. Apto’s CEO, James Kilkelly, has consistently been recognized as one of Atlanta’s best business leaders and most promising entrepreneurs. And yet, overall awareness of Apto’s brand has been lagging for nearly the entire life of the company. Apto has never really been a recognizable industry leader – which is why they brought Write2Market on board early in 2015.
The Solution
Write2Market helped Apto work through their messaging strategy, creating for them a position from which they could begin media outreach and content development. Working together on this position, Write2Market helped Apto articulate their disruptive nature within the ITAD industry to journalists across the IT and tech industry. As they started to see the success, Apto decided it was time to take things a step further and go after new industries, while adding social media to their arsenal. “Apto has a really amazing story of leadership and innovation that we knew would resonate with a number of different audiences – it was just a matter of crafting the right message for the right person at the right time,” explains Lindsay Trinkle, Relationship Manager at Write2Market.
The Results
In addition to coverage in IT media such as InsightaaS and Mission Critical, Apto Solutions was able to tell their story in trade media outlets in new industries such as Inbound Logistics and Manufacturing Business & Technology. Apto’s launch into social media proved to be a huge success as well – bringing a whopping 530% increase in traffic from new visitors to their website from social media in the first 2 months. “Write2Market’s storytelling and content marketing expertise has helped us drive sales and foster a deeper connection with our customers,” says James Kilkelly, CEO of Apto Solutions.
